One of the first things I ever learned to sew was a yo yo. At age five we children begged granny for scraps and we turn a saucer upside down, traced the circles onto the material and then cut them out. Baste around the edges and then pull the thread until the yo yo was formed. sew a couple anchor stiches and flatten them.
My signature yo yo item ( I have no picture ) is a clown rag doll and I use stren fishing line to lace them in stacks together. Every child in my family has received one, the fishing line makes it hold up through mud puddle baths and washing machines.

Ohhhh yeah! Sure don't need any "yo-yo maker". Someone is making their first million by inventing/selling those little gadgets! Good for them!

This wreath is perfect for using up some of these yo-yo's. E-gad they can multiply fast!

Instead of cereal box could you use the thin styofoam or a styofoam circle? Love the way you layered the yo-yo's in the middle to form the look of bells. would love the directions where did you find them?
Oh what is the size of the circle?

I love making yo-yo's at night while sitting in front of the tv. This wreath is beautiful! Can you tell us what you used for a base and what size yo-yo's you made, etc? Thanks
