From the looks of things, I'd say you had a great time playing. Can't wait to see it completed. thanks for sharing.

Thanks! :-)

I found PP really easy once I got going. The pattern is a Carol Doak one, someone on here listed the website the other day and I was having a nosey.

Been thinking while I was at work and there's actually enough fat quarters in my stash to make a large quilt with some seriously bright and matching colours. I have a tendency to not want to touch what's in my stash and save it for a rainy day. But being on the other side of the world to you guys, winter is on it's way, and with the whole recession thing going on we're a bit broke right now, so this must count as an almost rainy day! lol

You have no idea how much self control is required to not rush up to my quilt store right now and buy a whole lot of really bright fabrics to make a massive paper pieced quilt! LOL

Do you know if there is restrictions on the use of this pattern? I sell my stuff and more often than not the things I like I can't use because of the copywrite issues.

BlueChicken 03-26-2009 06:25 PM

The patterns on Carol Doak's site are free for personal use only, sorry.

But there would be others out there that wouldn't be copyrighted. I think if you have a go at it, you would quickly pick up the basics and could quite easily design your own patterns. Especially the popular "star" form.
