I think #1 is very nice - really makes the colors look rich.

I like #3 but I also think a black on black for your background would really make your blocks pop out if you have any on hand.

I like #3 and love scrap quilts. Please post a picture when this is finished.

If you want a bright look, I'd use 3 for sashing then 1 for border. I kind of like the mellow look of 2, and would use 1 for border and binding. For me that is a more tranquil look for a sleeping quilt.

I love #3 as it gives it a more old-fashioned feel which I love.

I like the 1st and 2nd choice.

I vote for #1 for sashings. Makes the colors richer. IMHO

It looks like #1 is the winner so far and that was my first choice but it's nice to know others feel the same and I'm not way off. I may use the others in the border.

Oh the yummy orangy fabric on the bottom. It gives it an authentic retro look.
