another donation quilt using up my strings, a lot of fun to do. The solid looks very dark when actually it is Williamsburg blue (medium blue)

quiltingshorttimer 12-22-2017 06:52 PM

not a fan of zig-zags--but wow! that looks great. I love scappy with dark solids.

Ditto! I too, dislike zig-zag designs, but this could change my mind.

It looks great. Thank you for another idea to use up my strings.

salederer 12-24-2017 07:28 AM

That is very nicely done. Normally a quilt of strips is too busy for me, but I just love yours!

Love it. Thanks for the idea of using scraps. I along with other guild members make baby quilts, I like to make mine very colorful. This will be great fun to make.

Nice scrappy zig zag quilt.

SandyinZ4 12-24-2017 05:39 PM

I have lots of scraps so think I will do this as a leader/ender project. I also have several old white sheets and they will make good foundations for this. I will cut them into squares 10.5" ? - 12.5" ? and then when strings are sewn on, I will quarter them. Sounds sort of cruel but should be a good new year project.

mjpEncinitas 12-25-2017 07:29 AM

Love the scrappy look against the dark.

Maggie_Sue 12-25-2017 04:45 PM
