Zippered pouch
2 Attachment(s)
I just took a Craftsy Class: Stupendous stitching. My practice piece was quite small (11") so I made a zippered pouch.
The fabric is embellished using couching, machine and hand embroidery, beads and quilting. |

I really like this! Good use of 'scraps'!! LOL Stitching is soooo pretty! One of a kind..

What a great way to learn to use the fancy stitches on your machine!
I took that class last year, and loved it. I really like the free motion quilting you did on yours!
Beautiful quilting & beautiful pouch.
That is one pretty pouch! Great job and one of a kind.

very nice job!!!!
Waste not, want not turned into a great artsy bag! Love it!
Your stitching is gorgeous!
Anael, that is downright inspiring!! Just gorgeous! with all the posts about purses and zipper bags, I've been collecting tutes and ideas and this one goes to the top of the list! I have the pattern and materials to do a kind of tote for my DD and DIL and want to do some small pouches for inside, like the panty pouch, etc. This style is one I wanted to do and playing with the dec stitches is perfect. Thanks for posting this....did you use any particular pattern? Your little pouch is just beautiful!!
That's really pretty.
P.S. What machine did you use on the project?
Thank you all so much for the lovely and kind comments!
Pollytink, it's not a particular pattern, the piece was 11" square so I took a zipper, two pieces of lining and made the pouch. When you google zippered pouch you will find lots of tuts. I used my Brother Innov is 1500D |

I love how you utilized your 'new embroidered fabric' to create a zippered pouch! Great idea!!
I also love this pouch. I love pouches anyway, but this one is very special.
What an excellent idea. A pencil case for quilting pens and all the stitches on your sewing machine on the fronts.
Very pretty. Love your work. Thanks for sharing. Mary

This looks really great. Wish I wasn't so afraid to sew in zippers.

You did a fantastic job on your purse.

I love making zippered pouches also. And, I paid for that class a long time ago but have never gotten around to taking it. Guess you've inspired me. Your pouch looks terrific.
