Professional Tote

That bag will be enjoyed for a long time..it's gorgeous and a good size with nice outside pockets. Double congratulations on the ribbons. I am beginning to teach my 8 year old twin grandsons to quilt. Does your grand-daughter have any suggestions for me on what they should make (besides pillows) that would inspire them? So far we have been together only twice and they're so anxious to sew that quick short projects would be best. Good luck to your beautiful grand-daughter as she is launched into a lifetime pleasure!

I like the size of your tote bag, my sister ends up taking two of the bow tucks bags while shopping, I told her she is asking for someone to take her purses away. The size you have might just work better for her. To me, smaller is better for at 72 some one can take it away from you.

I agree the fabric looks like Laurel Burch, very beautiful bag as well as great choice for fabric. Hope you win 1st price you did a great job, so nice to know that some of our young people are interested in doing something like that. I would love to have my granddaughter do something like that. But they are into there own lives, and today they don't teach sewing at all in our schools and I think that our kids will not have a good background without some of the basic's in life. Great job on the bag and your granddaughter is very pretty to go with it, wish her a lot of luck and sewing.

That is awesome! She certainly deserved it! Congrats to you both!
Went to the fair today - she got 1st place, Best of Class and Best of Show on this bag!! We were so tickled! She entered another bag called the Classmate Bag and for 1st place on it also (don't have a picture of that one). I entered a Classmate Bag I made for her sister and got 1st place on it!! I was so surprised. We are full of plans for next year now.
