It's so nice, I'm making one also but mine is all different colors I hope it looks as nice as yours. I'm assembling them in 8 X 8 blocks and then plan to join them. How large are you going to make yours?

I LOVE cathedral windows! And yours is just beautiful. I love your idea of using one color family in the windows. It's so precious!

Mine start out as 8" squares. By the time you fold them, they are 4" squares. Then I add 2" squares for insets. I have not set a goal of how big I will make it. When I am tired of doing it, I will be done.

It's really pretty Sherry.

I've made two (queens)...the first by hand and the second by machine. The second was way faster, and for me...much more valuable, usable and actually, more accurate and better done--definitely feel like I can "use it" if I want to. I'm probably not one to do sewing by hand. I prefer my own CW quilt that I made by machine.

But YOURS is beautiful.

Yes, the wonderful thing about CW is that when you are finished...you are finished. No backing, no quilting, etc.

Beautiful! I know how much work goes into a cathredral window. I have one that I pick up if I fancy some hand work - it's all in a box and I keep needles, thread, and scissors in there as well so it's ready for me. It's been going for about 3years now but I'm in no rush.

Ohhhh myyyy!! That is beautiful!!!! I've started one, but I've had to take it out more than once. I've learned a lot from each one though.
