Olde Brawd brought me this quilt for LAQ. We discussed design ideas while she was here..Her only real request was to put a thread on the back that would show...boy is that difficult for a LAQ sometimes...It shows every flaw...LOL.
But I love the result..it is so pretty!

The quilting follow the seems in the HST ...so unlike my normal fern design....it doesn't create the cross hatching effect ...this created the nested diamonds on the back....On the front the quilt goes from light to dark within the big diamond...such a cool effect..love this quilt.

I used hobbs polydown batting...I quilted this freehand using my INNOVA.

    Thanks for looking.

Your quilting definitely made this quilt a "twofer". It is like a wholecloth on the back and gorgeous batiks on the front. Another great pairing of quilting with piecing.

Do you dance on your tippy-toes when you quilt?

Your quilting can sometimes look like clouds floating in the sky.

A beautiful quilt both front and back.

Charismah- How long does it take to LA a quilt that size? It seems like you post finished quilts regularly!

This made me gasp! So gorgeous! Quilting is just genius, really takes this great top to the next level. Back of the quilt is like related, but separate work of art. Beautiful work!!!
