Well, two of the granddaughters, cousins ages 17 and 9, have been here for 3 weeks and are getting ready to leave on Tuesday. We have been working on Bow Tucks bags and have made one regular and one mini. They both like Hello Kitty and have very different ideas about color as you can tell. Here is what we came up with. Hello Kitty was cut with my Sizzix Big Shot Pro. It is the first time I have used it but will be making more of these I am sure as I have 5 more granddaughters.

I would love to have my dgd for 3 weeks to sew... I barely get her for a week in the summer... and she only lives 45 miles from me...

I don't usually look at the purses, but yours are really cute, and well done! Nice work!

They are so cute! I have to say, I would have thought the 9-year-old would have gone for the colorful colors and the 17-year-old for the more sophisticated b&w with the peace signs.

Lovely purses, the girls are going to enjoy the fruits of their labor. As for the color combinations, I would have guessed just the opposite. :-)

Really cute bags they made and really so nice that you and your grandgirls got to share some sewing time together. Something they'll always remember. May in Jersey

I was surprised at the color choice that my younger granddaughter made also. The older one has always loved pink and I never have to guess about color choices for projects for her. The younger one now wants a quilt with the same fabrics that are in her purse. Originally I had one planned with blue and greens. I let her select another pattern for her quilt so we are now scheduled to make a Streak of Lightening quilt using black and white fabrics with a black background. I will get that started after they leave. Ann in TN
