I have that same doggie fabric! I saw it at JoAnn's and couldn't resist getting a yard of it. It's really nice fabric, isn't it? I haven't decided what to do with mine yet, but I love seeing how you're using it.

I really like both your quilt tops and the block. The cat on your niece's quilt has such a sweet smile. Are you giving it to your niece for Christmas?

Yes, they are both going to be Christmas presents. My cat thinks the cat quilt is for her though, she keeps laying on it. I am also going to be making a mini train quilt for my nephew.

Great job on them but I have to say I just LOVE the dog one! Did you fussy cut all those dogs?

Maybe blue shashing or borders?

I bought the fabric at Joann's. And yes, I fussy cut it. Not all of my blocks are completely square or the same size, but I guess that just means I have more to learn. And I need more practice!!

Magnolia, practice makes perfect & for the beginners, just keep trying new techniques. Look back a year from now & look at your pics to see how you've progressed. TTUL
