That's my kind of quilt. I LOVE it as is, but the guitar........ will make the background really POP! :)

This is a single-block quilt. It's 47x60 - I can't explain why 47. I drafted it using graph paper, then re-drew it on freezer paper which I ironed to the fabric (see picture). All those seams are on the bias, so I left the paper on the material as I sewed. Worked perfectly! When I sewed, I started on the outer edge and when I was at the 1/4 spot in the center, hit the locking feature on my sewing machine. I added pieces always moving counterclockwise and pressed all the seams the same way, so the back has a kind of spiral effect. There's the tiniest hole in the center of the burst - not quite big enough for my finger - but it will be covered up.

Graduation ceremonies are June 6, so this will be finished by then! I'll be sure to add a picture.
