Default Pumpkin

This is something that I fought with for two days, and it still needs the last border, quilting and binding. My problem was thinking I knew the next step and would jump ahead without reading the pattern, and using two different rulers. Yes, using two different rulers to measure and cut can make a difference in your blocks!! Can not tell you how many seams I ripped out only to have to redo it all again. I came really close to admitting defeat and throwing it in the trash can. Thought I had prevailed, until I looked at it....very obvious mistake. Now where is my seam ripper??

Oh, gosh, I feel your pain, Linda! Just appliqué something over the woopsie and call it done! I do like your bird and the mix of oranges.

But it’s adorable! Just think, you could have quilted it then found it! Your colors are great! Please post when finished again, I would like to see the plaid with it!

What a great Halloween quilt.
Love the inclusion of the crow on top .... and even to have found a Halloween spotted fabric for the background! Great scrappy mix of fabrics throughout.

I hate to mention this, after your struggles, but it sounds like you want this to be "just right".
And I think you would sooner know now, then after the next border is on, or worse, when totally finished.
Bottom left of the pumpkin, should that one be a HST, the same as the bottom right?
Sorrrrrryyyyyyyyyy!

No, No, No-please don't put that adorable pumpkin in the trash can!!! That is such a cute project and especially love the bird on top of the pumpkin. Sometimes my seam ripper and I are BFF. I think you did a great job on your work

What a cute finish it will be with the plaid you have sitting on the side. I have made the birds pattern by this manufacturer and it was a challenge since half of them were flipped (mirrored) images. My abstract reasoning was in overload! LOL. I cant wait to see your hanging quilted and finished.

Keep it, please - it’s great! If something bothers you, then fix it now to make you feel better.

I ordered the same pattern as a pdf download after seeing it finished by someone else here on the board. All of my fabrics are selected and ready to go, but have yet to start it. If i dont jump in pretty soon it wont be done in time for Halloween, although i think it works for fall too. Since you have successfully assembled one... any advice?
