Default Purple Chevrons Quilt for my granddaughter.

I made one in blues for my grandson, and for hers, little Miss 3 year old wanted purples. All went together fairly well though I did struggle with the look of the backing during quilting but it seemed to sort itself out once the entire thing was quilted and washed. But oh, dear imagine my dismay when I was washing it in the bath and my hands found..ouch...2 flower head sewing pins stuck inside it!! I'm so glad I found them before giving it to my granddaughter...goodness knows how they got missed. My relief soon turned to dismay when I realised I was going to have to cut 2 tiny holes in the backing to get the wretched things out. Deed done, holes darned over and I will be able to sew the quilt label over one of them....lesson learnt. Thankyou for looking.

That is absolutely lovely! So glad that you found the pins. Your DGD is going to love it!

This purple quilt you made came out really terrific. Great shade of purple you used.

Great looking quilt! I like how the various shades of purple play well together to give it depth.

Great purple quilt! A little late but you can remove most pins without having to open the quilt. If the pins have the round plastic tops, you crunch the little ball with pliers and when it separates from the shaft of the pin, you just push it out. If it was flower head pins, you can pull off the top and then push out the shaft. A little harder with the flower head pins but doable because I've done it.
