I finished this quilt last Wednesday. It was made from some purple luminaries squares.

I donated it to the Library where I work for the silent auction that is on Oct. 16th. If I make it to the auction I will take some pics and post them.

It is machine pieced and hand echo quilted. I put on my first hanging sleeve on the back. Forgot to photograph the back.

Lovely, it is very soothing, if that makes any sense. You did a great job picking the fabrics. I'd love to see a close up of the quilting!

Thank you all! I can not show a close up picture of the quilting as it is already donated. Sorry. I will try to remember to do this in the future.

Thanks again for the lovely comments.

That is certainly a lovely quilt. I agree that it is soothing. It reminds me of the scent of lavender which is soothing as well. I know the library must be very grateful to you for donating something that will certainly help them raise much needed funds.

I think they were 6" blocks. I think there were 6 blocks of the four different shades of luminaries. I used the dark ones for the center block and have three left over I think, or two. They are in a box somewhere.

I went to the silent auction on Saturday. I took photos of some quilts and will post them when the cord is found to transfer them. Hubby misplaced it when cleaning, of all things.

I found that my quilt aucitoned for $38, started at $35 with one bid at $38.

I hope it is able to buy some books for the library.
