I did this on a pillow - didn't notice it until I had sewed on the back and stuff the pillow form in it. Granted, its not as a big as a quilt but I think it looks like you planned it that way and it ads interest to it. No one needs to be the wiser ;-)

I would flip it so that the bottom is the top part of it. Not to hide the mistake, but to actually draw attention to the difference. I showed this to a friend who is really good at abstracts and she says that if you flip it up the other way it looks like the lines start and then take off in their own directions and it is actually really neat looking. I think that no matter what this quilt will be loved and appreciated.

It looks like it's meant to be that way, so I feel you should leave it as is. I agree, tell anyone who comments that you thought that gave it a degree of uniqueness.
