I mentioned once before there was the purple hydranga fabric at Wal Mart that was calling my name. Decided to go get it and make placemats. So here they are. Had fun trying different blocks and stitches on my new machine.

So when I went to Wal Mart to purchase the fabric, I noticed a really neat Patchwork pattern that was the same collection. WalMart did not have these all grouped together so I had to hunt. While I was working on the placemats, I couldn't get that patchwork out of my mind. Then it dawned on me, I had a set of lavender sheets that did not have the King Size pillowcases I needed. So I went back to WM and purchased the patchwork to make pillowcases. Then looking at all the patterns in the patchwork, I think about the pale green sheets I have with the same problem. I have made thousands of things since I was 10 from clothes, costumes, wedding dresses, animals, etc. but I never made pillowcases out of printed fabric.

Now I have all these scraps left so I probably need some pot holders. Again had fun trying different blocks and stitches.
