Purple Kitties
I need lots of practice with my mid-arm quilting machine. So I've been making quilts for assorted family. This is for a great niece. She likes kittens and Purple. I bought about 300 lbs of fabric stash/scraps/backing from a women cleaning out the house after her Mother passed away, so I try to pick designs were I can use a large variety of fabrics instead of needing larger quantities of only 3 or 4.
I plan on putting a 1" black binding on it. The background is black with purple stars - though it may look purple in the pictures.
And though my skill level isn't very high - the not quite intentional comic look of the faces turned out quite well!
For fun, a few of the cats are snoozing.
