REally nice. I just bought her Paper piecing book to do letters. Can't wait to try some of the other designs.

I went to hear and see Carol Doak's trunk show about 2 weeks ago. She is fabulous and so down to earth. Your quilt with her pattern is just gorgeous!

Amazing. Purple is my favorite color. I recently bought one of Carol Doak's books. I am excited to try a few patterns I found it in. I am truly inspired by your quilt.

The quilt turned out gorgeous Peggy! I've been playing around with Carol's book for awhile, making a single block here and a single block there, but nothing like what you have done. I feel inspired!

Ooooohh really nice. You did a fantastic job and the color selection works nicely.

I have that same book and was thinking of that star pattern. I started with the Ohio Star, but when I began mine, I had a really bad sinus headache and gave up on it; which is NOT like me to do. Planning on going back to the paper piecing star because once you get the hang of it, it really goes fast. The patterns do look intimidating, but they really aren't. Just be patient because until you catch on, it can be a little frustrating. I usually make one block to see if I like the color scheme on copy paper, then sew it up. If it doesn't work, I go back to the paper and color a new star. That star I don't use will now go on my scrappy quilt and will become a conversation piece like all the other pieces in that quilt.

Keep up the good work. What color oare you backing it with?
