I really like this one! The colors are restful and the pattern is awesome. And yes, so much work in such a short time!

    Thanks for your kind comments

The pattern I used was in an Australian Patchwork and Quilting magazine which was all rectangles. See the drawing below. You just cut out all the rectangles (you need 6 for each block, 3 light and 3 dark) and then you place one on top of the other and draw your diagonal (DD helped me with this) and sew on your line. You then attach your strips to your triangles, matching up the centre of each. You don't trim your ends until you have joined 2 triangle units together. The points on the stars are a little longer this way but I think it looks fine and it was easy to do with just your standard ruler. I'm not the best at explaining things but if anyone wants more information I can draw more pictures LOL

Well, I've never made a Hunters Star. This is beautiful. I'll have to look up the directions OR you can draw more pictures.

That is beautiful,, I have been wanting to make a quilt for my friend that loves purple, I think one like this would be great. I am with you on sewing the binding on, I did one on a baby quilt and it was wavy when I got thru,, I must of stretched it while sewing it on.
