Default purple and turquoise quilt top

I just finished a quilt top, using only scraps. It was very satisfying. I only did this one other time, years ago, and I forgot how good it felt to use up leftovers.

The pattern is Double Slice Layer Cake...from Missouri Star. Only instead of a layer cake, I just cut ten inch squares. I mainly sew in purple and turquoise, so that is what my quilt is, purple and turquoise.

I am very pleased with the result. Simple and everything, but I like it a lot. The lightest fabric isn't white, as it sort of looks in the picture, it is a light turquoise. The quilt looks like jewels to me, but my husband says it is the view out of an airplane...if there were patches of purple and turquoise, that is.

    Thanks for looking.

That is turquoise and purple in a very happy marriage, love it! And I love using up my scraps too, all kinds of little somethings that when put together become a big pretty.

Very pretty. Simple yes. But oftentimes, simple is best - nothing wrong with it. The colors do all the talking.

That looks lovely. Those colors certainly do well together.

Beautiful!! I love purple and turquoise together. There is a quilt in my future in that colorway.
