This Double Irish Chain is the biggest quilt I've tackled. Several of the plain squares are quilted in the shape of shamrocks - some by hand, some by machine; still "working" on that part, but not often. The remainder is machine stitched in the ditch. Hand quilting is for people with patience, dexterity and talent. I have Essential Tremor so my ever-trembling hands make threading and maneuvering needles a dangerous adventure!
