When my uncle retired last year he started helping my aunt in the kitchen...Turns out he has a knack for canning and he loves it!

I could not resist making him a jar quilt with the Farmer's Market fabric.

The quilt label and the labels on each jar were made by gail-r from this board....Thank you Gail!

Cool quilt. I have a friend who is good at "puttin up" but hates flowers. This might be a good option.

Love this quilt. My daughter is waiting patiently for me to make one for her. She also recently discovered the joys of canning.

I really like the idea of putting labels on the jars. Brilliant!!! I hope to eventually make a jar quilt to remember my Mom by. She loved canning her home grown veggies and fruits in the summer.
