I had purchased some batting pre-marked for quilt as you go. I decided to use that with some cute fabrics I got at Wal-mart. Never had so much trouble. mainly the green triangles. I should have tried harder but wanted it finished fast. I was going to use the backing fabric as binding and fold it over. but the edges of the top were not all even and i trimmed and trimmed. finally made binding and did it that way.
I just got a new HVAC system and one man is coming tomorrow to install a solar fan in the attic. he just became a Father so i thought I would give it to him. it's either him or Charity. it is cute if you dont' look too closely.

That's a very cute quilt & I bet your man coming to install your HVAC system will really appreciate it for his new baby. That's such a kind gesture on your part. I love the fun elephants & happy, bright colors. Baby will be happy!

the blocks were meant to be finished and cut apart, then sewn back together. I just left the batting whole and added strips.

It's very cute! I'm sure the baby, mom and dad will love it! Sometimes it's the things that look easier give the most problems. You did a good job by keeping on with it.
