Quilts of Valor are made for U. S. Veterans who have served in a combat zone. I worked a booth for a fund raiser for QOV recently and got to talk to some of these heroes. Some of their stories were so moving, I wanted to cry. I settled for a gentle touch to their arm.

Curiously, without fail, every veteran I spoke to that day said the same thing, "I don't deserve one."
