    Default Quadruple Irish Chain

My friend (for 70 years) asked me to make her a quilt. We collaborated on colors and fabric via email and I was wanting to do an Irish Chain, so with four colors and a background of beige I came up with this quilt. I also made two pillow shams to go with it. Here it is on her bed. What was so much fun, was in sewing it I remembered a lot of the good times we had as children together. I quilted the pillow sham but my LA quilted the large quilt. We had a good time looking for the "perfect" pantograph pattern.

This is a quilt I would love to wrap up into on a cold winter night. It is soooo inviting. Your friendships will always be forever. This is the best way to show that love. She is blessed to have you as a friend.

Really beautiful. You must love those colors because your sweater matches too If I know who I am making a quilt for, I find that while sewing I am thinking all the time about that person. I really enjoy that as well.

That is just awesome; story and quilt. I love the colors, pattern, and the quilting is beautiful. Piecing is pretty awesome too.

OMG!! Gorgeous quilt and so beautifully done. Love the fabrics you used and if you notice-her top almost matches her quilt. Lucky friend.
