Are all the pointy pieces appliqued or do you cut/sew triangles on the ends of each piece ?? Thanks ~ :D

Both are very pretty ... love the fall fabrics used ...

I just sew 2 squares at the top, stitch on the diagonal line, flip, press, and trim. Just like making flying geese. The only applique is the flowers, leaves, or cupcake in the center.
