Yes, it does to me. It honestly made me a tad bit dizzy, but it's still beautiful!
And me. The movement in it is chaotic and makes me feel a touch queasy. I couldn't live with it.

Perhaps the colours have faded over time, which might explain why they are paler than the shades usually associated with that time.

The more I look at this quilt the more I dislike it. Old isn't necessarily beautiful, as I say every day when I look in the mirror...

It is always fun to look at old quilts. However I don't see the quilting being that old. I don't know the fabrics just don't seem right to me. And I looks to be in good condition how was it stored to look so good darn near 200 years later.
I am no expert in the field just my thoughts. if they are worth a dime. lol

a beautiful quilt but way out of my price range what a collection of scraps and the hours of work wonder how they came up with 1840

Have mercy! Beautiful, even if they can't prove the date (which would bring down the price significantly for me) it is still a GORGEOUS quilt.
