Thank you, and congratulations on the upcoming event in your family. The quilt is really easy if you applique. I used Heat n Bond Lite around the edges of the hearts and then used a close satin stitch to sew them down to the base block. The appliques took longest to do.

Oh How Darling! Love the colors. They kinda remind me of those candy hearts at valentines day.

Thank you, Carol. The batting is the same thoughout. I think the satin stitch around the edges made them look higher.

This quilt is so sweet! Sounds like you'd better stock up on baby fabric and baby quilt ideas--your family is getting busy!

WOW I just saw two baby quilts on the board with bear designs, and now this one. Absolutely beautiful colors and design. Wow, you ladies are so talented. Can hardly wait to see what you come up with if your second great grandchild is a boy. Keep us posted.

No, I haven't done applique...yet. Guess it's like anything else in quilting...if you like it, then it's time to try it and learn something new! That's what I like about the quilters I've met...they are fearless! Ready to try something new and challenge themselves all the time!
