    I appreciate your comments, thanks.

I know there is a proper way to do things but I find it either too hard to follow or takes too much time. Be it right or wrong this what I did!
I laid the double circles on the large background material. Wrong side of circles to right side of BGM. I use a quilt tacky spray to hold in place. (This spray will not harm your machine or gum up your needles.)

Once the circles were well attached to the background material I turned under ¼ inch of the circles all the way aroundthe outside edge. Here is where you can sew the circles to the BGM with what every stitch you desire.

After this is accomplished flip the material over and cut away the excess material within the stitches around the circles. Just be carefull to NOT cut through into the circles themselves.

This is how I did it, if there is a better way please share with me. I have made a couple of these bargello color wheeles and used the method mentioned above....however I am willing to learn new tricks of the trade.

Share pictures of your finished project. Would like very much to see.

Thank you for sharing your method of combining the Bargello circles with the background. That is one of the ways I had thought of doing it, but didn't know if it would work that well, never having tried it. Yours looks great. I like the fact that you aren't doing it like a set in sleeve, although you achieve essentially the same results.

Good job!!!! When I get mine done, I will post. It's in the lsit of UFO's that I have to do. lol The UFO's seem to breed at night, or at least every time I go to see my girlfriends....seems I see something new I have to start. One day....I will get them all finished & what a photo shoot that will be. lol

I have seen a picture taken when it was presented but as of yet do not have a copy. Need to get one! Will share it when I do.
You should do a tutorial on this center motif. It is a beautiful quilt!
