After seeing all the beautiful and intricate quilts posted on this board I wasn't going to post a picture of this simple quilt, but decided I should if for no reason than to acknowledge the beautiful quilting done by candlequilter here on this board. I'm a fairly new quilter (two years or so) and I always seem to under estimate the time it takes to complete a project. So as to not stress myself needlessly, I decided to take up candlequilter's offer to get a quilt done by December 15th. She did better than that -- a turn around time for this quilt of only two days! This is the first quilt I've sent to a long armer and Sherryl did an awesome job! The quilt is for a 9 year-old who has outgrown her Princess comforter. The border is actually a deep purple not the dark blue that shows in the photo.
