Beautiful!! By the way, how old is he? I have a daughter!! LOL :)
He's not all that young! (though younger than me!) He turned 50 this year! I've worked with him for 10 years and now he is moving to D.C. to be closer to family. He is the 'heart' of our office of doctors, always willing to take a weekend, or see a patient on his academic day or sit and chat and advise about anything with anyone! He has been overwhelmed with the out pouring of dinner invitations etc. since he announced his departure! (He didn't think people would even care if he left.) The lesson I take away from this is to let people know you appreciate them BEFORE they decide to leave! We won't realize all he did until he's gone. But I do think career wise and for his personal life - D.C. will be great. He needs a change.
