I am sending this off on Wednesday for my Dad for Christmas. I call it "Canadiana" because it has maple leaves, log cabins and flying geese (in 3D, in the border). It is somewhat based on Eleanor Burn's Orion Star, but I decided to change it up to the maple leaf in a log cabin. The backing is pieced with some scraps and I included puzzle fabric and crossword fabric, something Dad does in his spare time. The small maple leaf block serves as a label for the quilt. Thanks for looking.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS

    Canadiana

WOW! That back is just as pretty as the front. I've seen a few red, black and white quilts here lately and each are so pretty! The color combo is striking!
