I made this quilt for my GGS Lucas. He is only 3 and loves cars so thought this would work for him. HE LOVES IT. The lady who quilted it for me did a meandering pattern over the whole quilt, close enough so that his mom can wash it over and over and it won't fall apart. (That's my plan anyway)
I also made them a set of Santa placemats for the holidays last Christmas.

That little quilt is so cute! No wonder he loves it! How sweet of you to make it for him and with cars that he loves.
It will surely be his favorite blanket.

Both projects are really nice, where did you get the idea for the placemats? They are soooo cute, I think I need to make some for the grandchildren's table at Christmas, most the them are still in high chairs, so I might have enough time.

Like the settings for the car blocks. Makes the quilt look extra special.

These placemats are so easy. The design comes from the book "Happy Holidays To You" by Nancy Halvorsen . I am going to make some more this Christmas for my friend's grands. I used scraps for mine. Carol

Do you know "How much envy you guys that applicate"! Beautiful and well done.

Me applicating is almost as bad as ME knitting, etc. All thumbs. Never turns out the way I want or good enough for me.
