Default Quilt to honor my niece at Bradley University

Hi Quilters. Some years back, I bough fabric in the French General line, just because I liked it. Later, my niece matriculated at Indiana University, where the school colors are crimson and cream. I decided my French General fabrics would be great to make my niece quilt , even though the colors of the fabric are not exactly crimson and cream. After her first year at IU, my niece transferred to Bradley University in Peoria Illinois. Lucky for me, Bradley university colors are red and white, and the Bradley red is a very close match to the red in the French General line. The Quilt pattern is GArden Stars from Robert Kaufman fabrics. The photos attached don't show the fabric patterns very well. My niece graduates in the spring, so she gets eight months or so with her bradley quilt on her bed while she is a senior.

Nice that you found the perfect use for your fabrics. It's a very pretty quilt. I love French General fabrics, too.

Regardless of 'official' school colors, I'm sure she'll love it. Don't fret. You've done a great job.

That's a fine gift. Make sure her name is firmly on it. Some quilts, especially good ones, tend to "walk away".
