I didn't read far enough into replies to know the quilt had already been raffled...that's what I get for not checking in more often! Oops!

Congrats to the winner! Her great-grandbaby is very blessed!

This a BEAUTIFUL quilt! I am sure the lady that made the comment was having a little tinge of jealousy. I doubt if she could hold a candle to the work that you did on this quilt! It is too bad that people have to be so hateful. I can't understand why people can't be happy for one another's accomplishments. Whatever you do, don't listen to her. In the old days when would actually put a mistake into their quilts purposefully. They believed that by doing this, they showed God that only he was perfect. It was done in reverence. Anyway......You have made an outstanding quilt! GOOD JOB!

I'll have to remember that line: "Well, that was unkind." I usually say something like "I know, but I really WANTED it like this." I must have missed something. What was her beef? I think the quilt is lovely. And I love the corners.

Beautiful quilt!! I agree that the corners of the snowball block looks like butterflies. I took a moment to realize it was a snowball, first I saw a star, which quickly turned into butterflies, then finally the snowball. You can be very proud of this quilt.

Queen, Your beautiful work and generosity so puts the quilt police lady, or should I just say woman, to shame. I was in the presence of a critical person like this once, and the lady being criticized very blankly looked at the one criticizing and said, "You know, that behaviour is very unattractive". Not another word was spoken. Great quilt for a marvelous cause. You are the winner!!

Beautiful. It should bring in lots of money. I can't see a thing wrong with it.

[....next time tell her it's really hard trying to decide where to put a mistake so people like her can hunt for them. [/quote]

I'm with you, but these sorts of comebacks usually occur to me too late
