    It didn't occur to me why at the time, but I kept taking pictures of the gorgeous tiles when I was on vacation in Nicaragua. These photos are from the city of Granada, which was established by Spanish colonists in the 1500's.

    Now I know it's because I'm a quilter!

    The second one reminds me of a Celtic knot I can see why you thought they would make great blocks.By the way my daughter just got back from a mission trip to Nicaragua a couple weeks ago she loved it.

    They make great blocks if the quilter is a lot better than me! I get dizzy just thinking about a Celtic Knot!

    Where did your daughter go in Nicaragua? It is a beautiful country

    The first picture reminds me of the Fons & Porter show I watched yesterday on Strata quilts. 1700 series they said.
    I take pictures of tile and beautiful patterned carpets too. :) Janie
