Default Quilt of Long ago

Circa 1986: My dd asked me to make her a New Quilt when she was 4 yrs old (now 33). Didn't like the baby ones she was still using. SO we went to the store and she picked out Pinks & Browns. I made a simple Rail Fence to get it done quickly. Back then I hand quilted everything. It's still in my closet, along with another sampler quilt I made for her about Jr Hs age. Of course she now has more adult looking quilts for her & her hubby. AND a couple for their daughter (age 3) I've been quilting for almost as long as I can remember, in some form. Grandma & her side of the house made sure I knew how to do all the domestic needleworks. I'm almost 68 and quilting is still my passion.

The Pink/Green/Gray blocks will be for my soon to be born new grand daughter Olivia. Can't wait. Her folks have quilts too.

p.s. I made the Stick Horse too. lOL

love the quilt squares and the horse
when my husband's sister got married the horse got when she was little was in on the marriage
her husband said when that horse died he was having a big party
the horse was over 30 years old and their kids wouldn't ride the horse
some times the house would be in the field by our house or went to her brothers and his kids rode her
at the party they got lots of Black Velvet because that was the horses name, lots of stick horses and food decorated like horse poop and other things.
