This is a quilt I made for my sweet SIL. She loves horses and the number 13 is her lucky number. There are 5 hidden 13'a monogramed in the top.

Oh, what a beautiful thematic quilt! I LOVE the way you alternated between light and dark horse picture squares and then framed each of them. Your borders are lovely, too.

    Nice work!!!

The lighter color squares were cut from a panel. I found the darker with horses on a bolt. I got the fabric at Whittles in Smith Grove, Ky. I make the the according to the likes of the person I am giving it to. Looking now for fabric for great nephew that is going to be an attorney.

Thanks to all of you for the nice compliments about the horse quilt. I really enjoy this forum, and seeing all the quilts that are made.

It's a good thing my daughter didn't see this one! I'd have to be doing a search for this fabric. It's beautiful!

It's just perfect, and clever idea putting her favourite number in too. My son's girlfriend would adore it. I bought a couple of horse panels recently, so probably should start sourcing some complementary fabric.
