I've heard of wedding quilts and made one for my daughter but the idea of a daughter (who does not sew!) making one for her mother is most touching, heart-warming act of love and kindness I've heard in forever. She couldn't have done anything more meaningful to commemorate her day and to show her love for you.

I can completely understand why you can't put it down. What a warm grateful feeling you must have for your special daughter who wanted to gift you something she knew you would absolutely love and cherish. And to think she researched it, took the time and effort to make it (without first knowing how) just to make YOU something special for all the years you served her. Precious!

Wow, what a surprise! I don't have daughters so will never experience anything like that! Lucky you! I have a son who fully supports my habit. I knew where the wedding was by the photo- the Finger Lakes are beUtiful!

A treasure...from a treasure.

A truly touching experience for you. Your daughter is lovely, her dress is so pretty. Really tasteful, flattering, and modest.

I like sexy, don't get me wrong, but the bustier-type dresses do nothing for me.

It is often amazing how our Daughters can surprise us. I am from NY and that looks like the Seneca lake in the background. My daughter has not taken up quilting but she is a giver. Bless u and your daughter.

What a super special idea. Your daughter is beautiful and so is the quilt she made. Both treasures!
