Thanks Mary. I agree , I think I will do a row of plain denim then something yellow like Izy has suggested. Then a panel for top and bottom to make it rectangular rather than square

Oh how I love pinwheels and I love your layout of them. I would have never thought of putting jean fabric in the border. So innovative. Great job.
