Thank you. I love It when I find an old quilt my DGM made. I spent a lot of time with her while I was growing up so when i find something of hers it brings back a lot of fond memories.

Oh, I just love it. And notice there were no quilt police in those days. I love that our GM's didn't agonize over whether corners intersected properly or not. I had one from my GM when I was little, but somewhere along the way I think it got used for a mat on the ground for changing the oil in cars or something. I don't know where it went. My mother never appreciated those things. I guess she just took that handmade stuff for granted as that is all they had growing up. I still can remember its red and blue colors and scrappiness.

You are so lucky, what charm this has, I love scrappy, my kind of quilts! Thanks so much for sharing I love to see the older utility type quilts as these are my special favourites and I actually try to make mine like these on purpose! I love that often the quilter made up her own designs, with the fabric she had on hand.
