This is such a sweet quilt. Easy to see why her parents were so pleased. Give the 18 year old a few years, she will really appreciate it when she gets a little older and realizes how much work you have put into this beauty.

Aren't we lucky that sewing machines have so many magnificent embroidery patters these days. It is a great quilt for a little girl.

How very exquisite!
She is very young, but probably has distinct personality traits that could clue you to what she responds to.
If you still have access to it, some really good satin appliqued in a corner, might do the trick <g>
My grandbabies are blanket babies, and I grew up with one - - he absolutely NEEDED that satin! Never underestimate the power of that texture <g> <wave>
I am posting a tad bit late, but perhaps the suggestion could just go toward another project.
