a quilt and a non quilt

its been all about the kiddo this month.

First, William's dino quilt. I enlarged the dinos on the fabric to make the applique:

Then I made a felt card table playhouse for my friends Jack and Lily. This was supposed to be a 2 or 3 evening project that took me 10 days and I barely finished on time. But they liked it so yay!

    the front, the mailbox opens

one side with window and flower vine, the curtains inside can open and close:

the garden side with a flap for a dog door and veggies that can be removed (via velcro and pockets)...not sure why its so crooked here

    the back

inside with fireplace, picture fram holds a picture and vase can hold a flower

Wow! These are fabulous! That little quilt is adorable! I love the dinos! And the play house? Too , too cute! When I was a little girl, I'd have given my eye teeth for something so awesome! Great job!

And a fire in the fireplace. So much to discover and look at. How cute is that. Your model is darling.

The quilt is adorable, but the playhouse is to die for! I love it! Looks like the kids do too!

Both are cute, but the house is fantastic. You must have spent many hours on the house, a definite labor of love.

Both are absolutely fantastic. I think you did a great job designing the dino quilt. And I can certainly see why the playhouse took 10 days! Wonderful details!

Did you have a pattern for the playhouse or is it your own design? Love the dino quilt.

Love your dino quilt! I like that you made the dino's big. The playhouse is nothing short of amazing! Your imagination and skill are truly a gift. Since I grew up with a tree house, that's what it reminds me of only without the tree and with so much more "bling"! What a childhood memory you've given those kids! And the little girl is so cute!

Wow, this is awesome! You need to find a market for these card table covers and sell them! Very cute...she looks like she's right at home in there!
Being skinny isn't easy, so I gave up and opted for being sexy instead. (aunty acid)

Me too!! I used to love to play in those big boxes that appliances came in. I would play in them till they were so out of shape, then they would dissappear. I loved them.
