I just started this yesterday and I don't have anything stitched down yet except the moons onto the background. All the mountains are just laid out. I am planning on it being a wedding gift for my cousin-he grew up at Lake Tahoe. I will need to find a few more types fabric to make more moons. Planning on it just being a couch or picnic size. What do you think?

Nice job! It has a southwestern feel to it.

I am thinking about a flying geese border.

Did you use a Curve Master foot for the moons?
