This quilt makes me think of the remark my dear aunt made when presented with a t-shirt quilt from her deceased husband's Appalachian Trail shirts; "Oh, lovely! I'll get to sleep with George again; I've missed him so much."
Your client will be overwhelmed. How nice of you.

Dear, dear Fran,
Already, the generous gift from you heart has begun to bring healing. It has somehow freed me to do the crying that I needed to do, but many of those tears are because of the warm and vivid memories I have of those shirt sleeves having held me close and touched me with such love.
I love the quilt! That doesn't quite seem to say enough, but I do, and I will always treasure your love and generosity and kindness in making it for me.
Thank you again,
Ruth
I had no idea a quilt could bring healing, so if you ever feel so inclined to do that for a friend, I would suggest you do just that!

I never would have guessed the neutral shirts could have made such a lovely quilt. The dark looks navy blue on my monitor & it's perfect with the design & borders; you did a great job. Her email is touching & I'm glad you did this for her.
