Default Quilt sold at silent auction

My daughter asked me to make a quilt as a fundraiser for an association she's in at its fall meeting, and it sold at a silent auction for $300! So far I've just made quilts for grandkids and a couple for friends, and I was really afraid no one would want it! She'd asked for one with oak leaves; I was lucky to find the perfect backing fabric. And my quilter put in the finishing touch with oak leaves. It's just a lap quilt, but I hope the buyer has some cozy fall evenings all curled up in it!

It is a beautiful lap quilt. Looks large enough for a bed. Maybe the buyer will skooch up in it! Worth every penny.

Exactly what I was thinking!!
Beautiful quilt .... and great deal for the buyer!

Today, I priced out the value of a quilt I made that I might consign to a Quilt Show and Sale.
... the dollars add up fast, even before any consideration for my time.

Beautiful job. Great colors. I'm not at all surprised it did so well.

How very nice of you to do this for your daughter.
Bet she was proud to display it at the auction.
Neat that you were able to find fabric with acorns too!

I was thinking that $300 is a great price for a smaller quilt. I wonder, are people willing to pay more when it's a fundraiser?
