Beautiful fabrics - like the idea of Minky for the back. Great job!

A very nice top and I think you will enjoy the minky, you will just need to vacuum after working with it

Lovely top! Great colors. A minky type backing would be nice for snuggling.

A soft and gentle quilt....maybe it's nap time.

Lovely. Sometimes a simpler pattern is just what we need. Great work!

It took me ages to find out why I couldn’t find Minky over here - and so wasn’t really sure what the equivalent was. It turns out is called plush or cuddle plush over here but it certainly isn’t as popular as Minky seems to be in US. There is a brand of ironing boards and ironing related products over here called Minky and they have the copyright on the name it seems.

When sewing with it I’m planning on using my walking foot, lengthening the stitch length a bit and just doing straight lines for now. I was going to use cotton thread - does that seem ok?

Very nice quilt. As a scrappy it would use up some scraps. Sometimes it is good to do a simple quilt with pretty colors.

Your top is very pretty.
