Default Quilt top using Winter's Lane fat quarters

I collect fat quarters and when I find a line I like I try to pick up several in the line. I can usually make something with a base of 9 FQs.

Our local shop got in their Christmas fabrics and Winter's Lane by Kate &Birdie Paper Co. was amongst them. Love it! I picked out several FQs and then rounded it off with FQs from other lines and went home to play.

I found the pattern for the blocks from a magazine, threw in some sashing and back to the shop for Winter's Lane yardage for the border.

I can locate the magazine at the moment, I will add that when I uncover it.

I adore red at Christmas, can't wait to order my backing fabric and hopefully get this quilted in time to enjoy this season.

Thanks, I found the magazine, the original pattern is called Sew Little Time and its in Best Fat Quarters 2012 The Quilters Newsletter. It called for 20 FQs to make 20 blocks but my 9 FQs made 16 so its easily adaptable.

Very pretty. from what I can see, it can extend beyond the Christmas holiday.
