    1. Try to make the machine stitch out everything in a logical order. I usually try to digitize in the right order from the beginning.
    2. Check starting and stopping point of each section. Sometimes my program changes the direction of stitching of a section.
    3. If it is a small jump, consider travel stitching instead.
    4. For those jumps that you really need. Do them last so that your machine doesn't stitch over the thread or risk getting caught in it.
You nailed it Mariatherese. Think, then digitize. You just can't get rid of some jump stitches. A cheater's way is sometimes to digitize the jump items as a different color. If your machine autocuts threads at a color change, it will cut and then stop, waiting for the next color. Just press "go" again and continue without changing the thread. Your machine won't know any different. This approach doesn't work if your machine doesn't auto-cut though.

I think he is adorable, just like the movie. Your son is going to be thrilled! I can just see a quilt covered in the little guys.

Your design is great. Trevor Conquergood at Sunset Stitches.com has classes and DVDs from past classes you can get. He has 6 classes for the newbies to Digitizer MBX that are good. His classes are like every 2 weeks or so. I learn from them.

I think you did a great job on your digitizing. One thing, there are many professional digitizes that have quite a few jumps too. So really yours looks fantastic. I like that design.
