Beautiful bookmarks! I checked your blog and you have some wonderful projects to share and loads of inspiration. I love your postcard tutorial, I am inspired to try my hand at a bookmark or two. Thanks for sharing.

You can make these without an embroidery machine!!! I don't have one either!! Just need a machine with a good blanket stitch, satin stitch, and able to do free motion quilting!! Simple :^)

The edges are satin stitched. I first go around with a regular zigzag to hold it all together, then satin stitch with a 3.5-4.0 width 3-4 times around. You get a good build up of thread and the quilt edges are completed covered!! Then I do a short straight stitch in the ditch and lock the stitches. Simple!! :^)

oh wow, those are gorgeous, i can see me making these for my grandsons class, they promote reading all the time and order books, but first for me, lol, thank you for sharing
